Good afternoon residents
Waste Connections has had delays for the residents who receive garbage pick-up on Tuesday's. The Tuesday's garbage will be picked-up on Wednesday and the Thursday's garbage should remain as is. Garbage questions should be directed to Waste Connections at 318-635-1700.
Transitioning to new trash service

The Town of Plain Dealing is going from Waste Connection to Knights Services for our trash service starting in January 2026.
Waste Connection: On Wednesday, December 31, they will pick up the trash and be removing their cans. They will be doing the same thing on Friday, January 2.
Knights Services: Will be delivering their cans to customers the week of December 29. They ask that we don’t start using Knights Services cans until after January 2.
Knights Services will be in town on January 2 following the Waste Connection truck to check out the route. Currently, Knights Services is planning to continue with our current pick-up schedule of Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Availability for Town of Plain Dealing Officer Day and its Crew

The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s office has changed the days available to the Town of Plain Dealing for Officer Day and its crew. They will be here 2 days every month (every two weeks). Their primary duties will be to mow the Plain Dealing Cemetery and other duties (within reason).
Curbside pickup for limbs, sticks, discarded matter and debris will be discontinued 06/30/2025. Receptacle Containers are located at 205 W. Palmetto Ave for non-household items (the hours are from 7:00a – 3:30p).
There is a disposal site for limbs located at the Plain Dealing Cemetery (contact our Superintendent at 318-458-7658) before going to site. If you have any questions, please call 318-453-5500. Thank you
